ABOUT

Melodies and Lyrics tell stories unlike anything else. XO

Carolina and Maria are singer/songwriters who share a deep passion for melodies and captivating lyrics. Their music is a bridge that connects them with their audience, allowing them to build lasting bonds through shared experiences. “We understand the role that songs play in people’s lives,” says Carolina. “If someone wants to soak up every minute of summer, there’s a song for that. If someone is falling in love for the first time, there’s a melody that sends shivers up their spine. If somebody is feeling sad or alone, music is always there.”

The sisters have had the privilege of performing at iconic venues such as The Bitter End in New York City, the legendary Ironwood Stage in Calgary, and Cowboys Dance Hall. Their ability to connect with audiences through the universal language of music has left a lasting impression and positive impact on those who have witnessed their performances. One unforgettable moment came during their Library Tour, when they performed at Calgary’s Central Library and dedicated an original song to a newlywed couple during their first dance.

“Being on stage is a true gift,” Maria reflects. “It’s an honor to share our music with others and hear how it resonates with their lives. We are so grateful for the openness and connection we feel with our audience.” Whether it’s expressing a heartfelt moment or energizing the crowd with an upbeat song, they are able to convey their message in a way that is emotional and impactful.

The sisters’ bond goes beyond music. Born in Colombia and moving to Canada at a young age, they faced the challenge of adapting to a new life, and it was during this period that some of the first sparks of the art of writing songs began for Carolina. Together, they began to create music that uplifted them during moments of constant change. Their songs explore themes like falling in love, building self-confidence, navigating the heartbreak of a first breakup and celebrating the excitement of new beginnings.

Now, Carolina and Maria are overjoyed to share their first single, “You Don’t Look at Me Like You Used To,” available on streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. This song captures the complex emotions of watching a meaningful relationship fade, as the connection between two people begins to dissolve. “We are so excited to share this song that comes straight from our hearts,” says Carolina. “It’s a piece of our journey and we are confident many others will relate to this song.”
